CARELMAN JACQUES ( 1929-2012 ) Jacques Carelman was a theatre designer and costume designer. From 1952 he worked on "Complaints against a stranger" by Georges Neveux, "L'étrangleuse" by Tristan Bernard, "Les amours de don Perlimplin et de Bélise" by Fédérico Garcia Lorca in 1954, then "L'Ecole des veuves" by Jean Cocteau, "L'homme du destin" by G.B. Shaw, and finally on the sets for "Le journal d'un fou" by Gogol and "Jenufa" by Janacek in 1962. Set of 33 models of costumes for "Jenufa" by Janacek for the Strasbourg Opera 1962. Gouaches and pencils, signed and annotated with samples. 50 x 32 cm each.
