CARELMAN JACQUES ( 1929-2012 ) Theatre designer and costume designer, Jacques Carelman worked from 1952 on "Complaints against a stranger" by Georges Neveux, "The strangler" by Tristan Bernard, "The loves of don Perlimplin and Belise" by Fédérico Garcia Lorca in 1954, then "The school of widows" by Jean Cocteau, "The man of destiny" by G.B.Shaw, until the sets of "Diary of a madman" by Gogol and "Jenufa" by Janacek in 1962. Costume model for Alexandre in "Venceslas de Rotrou" by Jean de Rotrou 1957. Gouache and pencil, signed and annotated with sample. 66 x 50 cm.
