GEO SANDRY Géo Sandry (1897-1975), whose real name was Gabriel Bleinat, was a journalist, writer and songwriter, author of numerous sketches, and film director. From 1933 onwards, he directed most of the "circus operettas with great fairy and nautical spectacle" of the Cirque d'hiver until 1954. He then turned to the cinema. At the same time, he pursued a literary career as a journalist and writer, publishing a Dictionnaire de l'argot moderne with Marcel Carrère and L'envers du cinéma, a collection of memories about the cinema.
